the acronym for Putra AL-Mawashi Genetics Sdn Bhd was incorporated in February 2007 under the Companies Act, 1965.

It is a subsidiary of Al-Mawashi  Livestock (M) Sdn Bhd (AML) in partnership with UPM Holding Bhd, an investment arm of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
PALMGen has set-up its Bovine Semen Collection Centre at its farm of 60 acres at Taman Kekal Pengeluaran Makanan (TKPM) Buloh Telor, Ampang Pecah, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor.
The land was leased from Department of Veterinary Services (DVS), State of Selangor for a period of 21 years since Februari 2009.
